High-Efficiency Mono-Cyclopentadienyl Titanium and Rare-Earth Metal Catalysts for the Production of Syndiotactic Polystyrene

چکیده

Syndiotactic polystyrene (SPS) refers to a type of thermoplastic material with phenyl substituents that are alternately chirally attached on both sides an aliphatic macromolecular main chain. Owing its excellent physical and mechanical properties, as well chemical stability, high transparency, electrical insulation characteristics, SPS is used in wide variety technical fields. commonly produced via the stereoselective transition metal-catalyzed coordination polymerization method mediated by stereospecific catalysts, which consists anionic mono-cyclopentadienyl derivative η5-coordinated single active metal centers (referred “mono-Cp’-M”), center metals involving Group 4 (with emphasis titanium) rare-earth (RE) periodic table. In this context, use titanocene (mono-Cp’Ti) catalysts (mono-Cp’RE) metallocene for syndiospecific styrene discussed. The effects ligand structure, cationic types, cocatalysts activity syndiospecificity mono-Cp’ briefly surveyed.
